Wisconsin Court Reporters Association Pro Bono Program

The Wisconsin Court Reporters Association for a long time has been giving back to the community with the WCRA Pro Bono Program.  There are individuals around the state who are in need of a verbatim record, and they cannot always afford the court reporting services they may need.  In an effort to help our community, we developed the WCRA Pro Bono Program to assist indigent people so they can have the necessary reporting services.

If you are an attorney or individual in need of court reporting services, you will need to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for pro bono court reporting services.  Please review these criteria listed on the Pro Bono Qualification Requirements page to determine your eligibility.

Once it is confirmed you or the case you are handling qualifiy for pro bono services, please review the Wisconsin Court Reporters Association Pro Bono Program Guidelines - WCRA.pdf.  The guidelines will explain in further detail the pro bono program.

Also on the website is a list of volunteer reporters.  These are individuals located around the state who are willing to donate their time to provide reporting services.  Look through the List of Pro Bono Reporters, and find an individual located in or near the area you require the service and then contact the reporter directly.  All arrangements will be worked out between the scheduling party and the volunteer reporter.
