PRO BONO QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to receive free court reporting services under the WCRA Pro Bono Program, one of the following criteria must be met:

1.       Volunteer attorneys handling pro bono cases referred by a legal services program receiving WisTAF funding must provide appropriate documentation of the agency’s referral to the court reporter; or

2.      If a state or federal court has determined that an individual is indigent, then the litigant or the attorney must provide a copy of the determination to the participating court reporter; or

3.      If the case was not referred to a volunteer attorney by a WisTAF-funded agency and there is no court determination that the individual is indigent, contact the State Bar of Wisconsin pro bono coordinator at probono@wisbar.org to find out whether the case qualifies for pro bono court reporter services through WCRA.
