Join the University of Wisconsin, McBurney Disability Resource Center Deaf and Hard of Hearing team as a remote hourly CART provider. We are looking to grow our pool of talented and dedicated hourly remote CART providers who are passionate about higher education and providing quality services to Deaf and hard of hearing students.

This fall we have the following classes. If you still have availability, please apply as soon as possible.  Classes start September 7, 2022.   Applications will be accepted until August 8, 2021.

 

All times are listed in CST.

 

Mondays & Wednesdays:  8:00-9:15

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9:30-10:45

Tuesdays & Thursdays:  12:05-12:55

Tuesdays & Thursdays:  1:00-2:15

Tuesdays & Thursdays:  2:30-3:45

Wednesdays: 12:05-12:55

Wednesdays:  1:20-2:10

Thursdays:  2:25-5:25

 

As a remote hourly CART provider, you will receive the following:

  • Paid prep time
  • Paid set-up time
  • Dedicated tech support personnel for tech issues
  • Quality and experienced CART scheduling & coordination team
  • Fun, challenging, and interesting classes from Anthropology to Zoology for undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and professional students.

Please note, to be considered for this hourly staff position, you need to meet the minimum qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited court reporting or broadcast captioning program
  • Three years of realtime writing experience required in post-secondary environment
  • Certification as a Certified Realtime Captioner (CRC), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR) strongly preferred. Other certifications may be considered with relevant realtime experience

Pay is commensurate with experience, education, certification, and relevant credentials
