Convention Charity – Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley: To inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Please consider donating to the Boys & Girls Club. We will be accepting donations Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the registration desk. Suggested Donation items: The Boys & Girls Club is always looking for donations of new and gently used items, such as warm clothing, shoes and boots, toiletries, art supplies, musical instruments, sports equipment, electronic gaming equipment, large recreational games, and more!

Door Prizes: We will be giving out door prizes from various vendors and reporters. If you would like to donate a door prize, please bring the item to the convention and give it to the people at the registration table.
Social Package: For those of you who are retired or would like to reunite with old friends or attend the business meeting but do not wish to attend the seminars, WCRA continues to offer a social package. This includes Saturday’s breakfast, lunch/business meeting, snack, and Sunday’s breakfast. The cost will vary for each convention based on the hotel charges. It does not include admission to the seminars.
Sponsor-A-Student: Our students need sponsors. Your donations would be greatly appreciated. Please check the “student sponsor” area of your registration form. STUDENTS ARE OUR FUTURE!!
Stentura Ribbons for Steno Machines: Please bring any Stentura Ribbon cartridges IN ANY SHAPE you have extra to the registration table to be used for future A to Z Programs in Wisconsin. If you want to donate an old steno machine or have any questions, please contact Karla Sommer at somerkms@gmail.com. She can provide you a donation receipt for tax purposes.
Realtime Contest: On Saturday, there will be a realtime contest at 10:30 a.m. The fee for entering the contest is $15, and you have the potential to earn CEU points upon successful testing. Check out the realtime contest rules above.
Steno Machine Cleaning & Tuning: Steve Worth from Worth Business Equipment will be available Saturday to clean and tune up machines. He services most steno machines with a couple of exceptions. If you know that you need a specific part (tripod, display, etc.), Steve would like to know ahead of time so he has the parts available. Chair Massages: Healing Elements Massage will be present for chair massages. A chair massage therapist will be available at the Lismore on Saturday, October 20, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for convention participants to take part in for $1 per minute provided by Healing Elements Massage. It’s anticipated that two massage therapists will split the day up. You may sign up the day of the event, but to reserve your time slot ahead of time, please contact Katy Way by e-mail or text. Email: waycleankaty@gmail.com. Text: (715) 829-0764. This will help ensure that Katy has enough massage therapists on hand for the event. Two DOOR PRIZES will be awarded for a massage! Be the lucky recipient of a 10-minute chair massage!
STUDENT BASKET RAFFLE: Do some of your holiday “shopping” here!
There will be four COACH WRISTLETS in the raffle, and there will again be many gift baskets on display, ranging from hostess party items, Thanksgiving and Christmas themed items, decorative desk sets, office décor and gift certificates to popular stores/gas stations/restaurants and coffee shops. Our treasurer, Sarah Hart, will be on hand to take debit and credit card payments. Cash and checks will also be accepted.

Wine Raffle: NEW THIS YEAR – A WINE RAFFLE!! – LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS (For the over-21 crowd) Please, please consider donating a bottle of $7-and-up bottle of wine to WCRA for this fun event! Please bring your donated wine bottles to the Wine Pull display table and check it in with Paulette or one of the Board members. Every $10 ticket purchased is a winner! There will be a grand prize awarded at the wine raffle to be announced the day of the convention.
Karaoke Party (Cash Bar): Come unleash your inner rock star!! Who can resist singing along to Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond or Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey? Come join us for some fun Saturday night from 8:30 - ? and sing along to the classics with old friends. Who knows, maybe you’ll even make some new ones by the end of the night!
