Great Lakes Convention
Plans are moving forward for the Great Lakes Regional Convention. The convention will be held October 3-5, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg. There will be a Speed Contest on Friday morning, followed by a Realtime Contest Friday evening. Sessions will begin on Friday afternoon with software training sessions in break-out format. Trainers from Stenograph, Eclipse, ProCAT, Cheetah, StenoCat, and Stenovations will be attending. Concurrent sessions will also be available.
All day Saturday and Sunday through noon are packed with a line-up of great speakers. Proposed topics include Marketing, Speed Building, Realtime Writing, Punctuation, and Steno Swaps. There will also be break-out sessions for Officials, Freelance and CART/Caption reporters.
